I am a Nova Scotia girl who learned to love Manitoba and is now beginning a love affair with New Brunswick.

I was born and raised in a small town in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.  In 1996 I moved to Halifax to attend university and fell in love with the city lifestyle.  In 2007 my husband and I decided it was time for a change and we left Halifax and moved to rural Manitoba without knowing anyone or anything about the province.  During our eight years in Manitoba I fell in love with the province and part of my heart became a prairie girl. In 2014 my husband and I decided it was time for another new adventure and we packed up and moved back to the east coast and settled in northern New Brunswick. I eagerly look forward to new and exciting adventures as I explore my new home province.

I am a happily married 30 something who is child-free by choice and pet-free by choice.  I am an outspoken, ordinary woman who wants to have extra-ordinary experiences.  I am intimidated by city driving, and make-up.  I am a klutz and I enjoy finding humour in the everyday moments that fill my quiet days.  I love to travel and explore, and I am learning to bake, cook and craft.  One day I hope to be able to play more than just two songs on my acoustic guitar.

This blog explores my empty nest, the items I fill it with, and my journey with things I am loving, learning or leaving behind. By writing this blog I have discovered I am very passionate about promoting tourism in my home provinces to anyone who will listen.
